Ballet Arkansas Prepartory Program

The Ballet Arkansas Preparatory Program (BAPP) is offered to those dancers age 12 to 18 who are seriously considering choosing ballet as their career. It is a special program designed to supplement and accelerate a student’s ballet training while allowing them to experience a professional company atmosphere. The dancers will have opportunities to train, rehearse, and perform with Ballet Arkansas as well as participate in other performances and appearances throughout the year. Dancers will be selected by an audition process and no more than ten will be chosen for this unique opportunity. The selected dancers will receive focused attention from their instructors who may include the BAPP Director, Ballet Arkansas Artistic Director, and Ballet Arkansas Ballet Mistress. Master classes and classes with other guest artists, such as Ballet Arkansas Company members, will also be available. Involvement in this program is not a guarantee of employment with Ballet Arkansas or any other company, but it is a valuable stepping stone between the student and professional worlds. Regular classes run from September through April with a monthly tuition of $125. Ballet Arkansas Summer Intensive completes the year and is offered to BAPP students at half price.
