Education and Outreach
Ballet Arkansas is dedicated to inspiring and educating the community about dance.
Check out these great programs and see how you can connect with your community through the art of dance.
Each season Ballet Arkansas brings choreographers and guests artists from around the nation and who are active in the national dance scene, to Little Rock, AR, to set works or create new choreography for the Ballet Arkansas company artists to perform. Through Ballet Arkansas’ network and outreach, we are able to offer master classes to the community, so that they may learn from these established dance professionals. Ballet Arkansas hosts these master classes at its Main Street Studio in the Creative Corridor, downtown Little Rock, for members of the community to have access to the “one on one” experience of working with these talented professionals.
Ballet Arkansas will host the 2017 Summer Intensive at UALR the week of July 31 – August 4. Students attending the summer intensive will receive the highest quality instruction and mentoring from the Ballet Arkansas company, staff, and guest instructors who are established in the dance community locally and around the nation. Students grow their dance network, make friends, work to expand their understanding of dance, and develop their technique.
Each season, Ballet Arkansas offers a variety of matinee performances for students to attend at a discounted price. Whether you’re a homeschool group, charter school, private or public school, our student matinees for The Nutcracker and Under the Lights (2016), are perfect offerings for cultural exposure or art appreciation to all age levels.
