October 15th Ballet Arkansas performed for “Ballet and Blooms” at Garvan Woodland Garden’s Anthony Chapel. The evening began with cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment. Ballet Arkansas presented Mobile, Poses from ReRouting, Sugar Plum Variation from The Nutcracker and excerpts from Raymonda. Many thanks to the wonderful attendees for the standing ovation at the end of the evening!
October 30th we were at Henderson State University for “Meet Ballet Arkansas”. Company members presented ReRouting, Act 1 Pas de Deux from Lady of the Camillas and excerpts from Raymonda with introductions, comments and interaction with Artistic Director Michael Bearden. The interaction with the audience was fun for all!
November 3 Ballet Arkansas presented Who Cares? at the UAM Fine Arts Center in Monticello. This performance included excerpts from Raymonda, Rerouting, Act 1 Pas de Deux from Lady of the Camillas and George Balanchine’s Who Cares? (concert version) performed to music by George Gershwin. The standing ovation after Who Cares? was a wonderful end to our fall tours!
